A Humble Beginning

Dominic’s journey started in his grandparents’ weaving shed, surrounded by the rhythmic hum of looms and the comforting scent of natural fibers. As a child, he watched skilled artisans turn raw materials into sturdy baskets, soft throws, and finely woven textiles. Those early memories planted the seed for LIQD LTD. He saw how a simple basket could not only organize clutter but also tell a story of craftsmanship and care. By his teenage years, he was sketching designs for storage bins, experimenting with color palettes, and learning the language of home décor through trial and error.

After studying Textile Design at university and spending a summer apprenticing with a small Scandinavian homewares studio, Dominic returned to Liversedge determined to build a brand that married British sensibility with a global appreciation for quality. In 2018, he rented a small studio on Hall Park Avenue, gathered a handful of local weavers and seamstresses, and produced his first line of hand-woven storage baskets and linen throws. The initial collection reflected Dominic’s philosophy: products should be as practical as they are beautiful, durable enough for everyday use yet thoughtfully designed to bring warmth and personality to any room.
